Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL1

The Tiger Wall UL 1 is a super-light tent from Big Agnes for 1 person. The Tiger Wall is ultralight because all the excess extras have been skipped, so you don't have to carry a gram too many. The clever two-way zipper at the entrance provides efficient high-low ventilation. With its very steep side walls, the Tiger Wall offers a spacious feeling inside the tent for an extremely low weight of 946 grams (850 grams trail weight). 
The outer tent is made of solution-dyed nylon ripstop, a fabric highly resistant to UV fading. The single pole construction and DAC Featherlite materials make for a simple but sturdy design.

The outer tent is solution-dyed meaning the dye is added during the liquid stage before it is cooled, then spun into yarn. Essentially, the color is part of the fibers produced.

With solution-dying, the color is present throughout the fabric and not just on the surface of the material. The fabric retains its properties better than a standard dyed fabric when exposed to intense weather conditions such as sunlight. Solution dying is designed to create a fabric that has top performance and does not fade.

The process of solution-dyeing saves water and energy since it requires no liquid dyeing, rinsing, and machine drying. Traditionally, dyed fabric must be washed over and over again in hot water, using large amounts of wastewater and electricity. Solution-dyeing technology saves up to 60-90 percent in water usage and offers a significant reduction in CO2 emissions.
